The death took place last Friday of Dan Dineen from the Abbeyside/.Clonea area and he will be fondly remembered for his many years running in road races all over Ireland including The Dublin and other Marathons in his rubber boots. In the process he raised lots of money for Local and National Charities especially The Irish Cancer Society. All involved in Waterford athletics send their sympathy to his wife Betty ,sons Aidan and Mark and all other relatives. The death also took place last week of Mr Paddy O'Connell Caherdavin Limerick who was very well known by many in local athletics.
