His first one went ahead as planned in The Great City Games in Manchester City Centre on Friday in a 200 metres hurdle event -a distance rarely run-but he had a fine run to finish second to the very experienced and former World 400 metres hurdles Champion Bershawn Jackson USA who was timed at 22.58. with Thomas timed at 23.19. On Sunday he was due to run in his favourite event the 400 metres hurdles in the Loughboro International meeting but withdrew on Sunday morning as his hamstrings were tight after the Friday race and he would not risk losing out the rest of his season by competing ,but expects to be ok in a few days.
