It was a fantastic day for the club at the first day of the Munster juvenile championships in Carriganore. In the u 10 girls race Eabha Lynch ran really well and was on the county team that won bronze medals. There was good performances also from Mia casey, Stella Smith, Molly Kearney and Mia Smith. In the u 10 boys Niall Brennan and Henry Pimm ran very well in their first Munster cross country championships. In the u 12 age group Molly Comerford had a good run in the girls age group and Jake Coffey , Nathan Bagge and Jack Kearney competed really well in the boys event. Jake had a great run out of age finishd 19th overall. The girls u 16 had a marvellous day winning the team title . Isobelle Cummins led the team home in 6th position and she was followed by Emily Goff, Mollie Hutchinson, Zoe Kiely, Aisling Lowe, Aoife Casey, Caoimhe Duffy Niblock and Sarah Barber. The county team in this age group came third and our first five girls were on that team also. In the boys u 16 event Jake Bagge had a great run for 4th overall with Adam Power in 14th. Jake and Adam were both on the county team that finished third. Craig O Brien had a super run here also and qualified for the all ireland's as part of the Waterford team. In the girls u 18 event Niamh casey was 8th overall with Krista Meade 14th. Both gilrs were on the winning county team. So a great day overall. Congrats to all the coaches who have put in huge work with this group over the last few months. Next stop will be Day of the Munsters .....Beaufort , Co Kerry on November 8th.
In the boys u 14 race ... Well done to Eoin Hearne in 13th, Callum Hurley in 17th and Ethan Hurley in 18th and all three taking silver county medals and qualifying for the all Ireland's.
